Musikmesse 2010: Opeth members set to appear at show

The Frankfurt Musikmesse has traditionally been the launch pad for an incredible array of groundbreaking musical instruments and equipment.
The show attracts celebrities from across the globe, eager to check out the new gear and meet their fans.
One of the acts people are most excited about seeing this year is Opeth, with frontman Mikael Akerfeldt and guitarist Fredrik Akesson appearing at the PRSguitar booth.
With 20th anniversary shows coming up, now is an exciting time to meet Opeth - they’ll be appearing on both the 26th and 27th of March at Musikmesse.
While the band have clear foundations in the Scandinavian metal scene, Opeth have referenced a wide variety of music in their work including prog, folk, blues and jazz.
Unusual for many metal bands, Opeth have made a lot of use of the acoustic guitar, featuring strong dynamic shifts alongside both aggressive and softer vocals.
