Musikmesse 2010: New pocket-sized Korg monotron synth unveiled
The new pocket-sized Korg monotron analog ribbon synthesizer has been unveiled at the Frankfurt Musikmesse 2010.
While the battery-powered piece of musical equipment can be held in one hand, Korg has promised that no sacrifices have been made in terms of quality.
"Although small enough to easily carry with you, the amazing monotron is packed with Korg's legendary analog technology, generating thick and powerful sounds," a company statement said.
It added that the compact nature of the Korg monotron synth has been made possible by streamlining the controls so that the panel only contains one switch and five knobs.
Korg added that the simplicity of the synth makes it easy enough for anyone to pick up and use.
Other companies appearing at the Frankfurt Musikmesse include Gibson and Roland, which has taken the opportunity to preview its GAIA SH-01 virtual analog synth at the event, as well as several other pieces of musical equipment.Posted on 25 Mar 2010 15:30 to category : Music News
