Musikmesse 2010: Korg add to audio recorder range with MR-2
Posted on 24 Mar 2010 10:07 to category : Instruments News

After revealing the amazing Sound on Sound recorder at NAMM, Korg have released a super compact, mobile high res recorder at Musikmesse 2010.
The MR-2 is a powerful, 1-bit high resolution mobile recorder capable of multi-format recording and playback, including SACD ultra-high quality 1-bit DSD@2.8224 MHz; multi-bit PCM formats up to 24-bit@192 kHz.
Built in mics allow for high-performance, with an X-Y configuration stereo electret condenser mic; capable of rotating 210 degrees.
Screw mounts provided on two surfaces allow mounting to a commercially available camera tripod for flexible placement.
On board sound shaping is high level with an included high-performance analog limiter, low-cut filter, and bass EQ are provided.
Presets make the MR-2 easy to use, with 40 Recording Setups calling up specific mic sensitivity, limiter, low-cut filter, and bass EQ settings to suit a variety of situations.
A neat little feature Korg have included is a convenient, high-performance KORG chromatic tuner built in.
As expected a USB 2.0 (Mini-B type USB connector) allows high-speed data transfer to and from a computer.
