Musical workshop for the disabled planned in Huntingdon
Posted on 7 Jul 2010 18:30 to category : Instruments News

Disabled people in the Huntingdon area are being offered the chance to learn a musical instrument at a special workshop.
The disability charity Papworth Trust is running a summer school between July 19th and 23rd 2010, with sessions set to be run by flautist Michael Copley, reports Community Newswire.
Copley specialises in playing traditional and folk woodwind instruments and his career has seen him perform in more than 15 different countries around the world.
Amelia Hodson, centre manager at Papworth Trust, said: "Our summer school is part of our comprehensive creative arts programme for people with physical and learning disabilities."
The school is open to people aged over 15 and the new skills they learn will be unveiled at a special show performed on the final day.
Earlier this week, solo star Paolo Nutini praised the opening of a new music academy in Scotland.
He told the Daily Record that getting youngsters to use musical instruments such as guitars and pianos is always a good idea.
