Music instruments loaned to school kids
And pupils at one UK school are getting a taste of their joys as a result of the fact that they have had complimentary instruments leant to them.
"Research shows that learning to play a musical instrument helps young people develop their study skills and supports their learning," Miriam Bailey, John Ruskin School in Coniston's headmaster, told the Westmorland Gazette.
Apparently a music teacher with musical inspiration in mind came up with the scheme, which involves pupils in their first year, or Year 7.
Among the music instruments involved are violins and clarinets – both instruments that can be found on the Gear4Music site.
It is likely that many of the music instruments players out there who enjoy music in their adult lives began their journey with an instrument while at school.
