Music instrument manufacturer holding annual instrument event
A music instrument manufacturer is holding its annual instrument event in Worthing to introduce people to the work they do and raise money for charity.
Howarth of London, a woodwind instrument specialist, maker of oboes and clarinets, will be delivering free workshops every weekday afternoon from July 25th to August 5th, reported the Littlehampton Gazette.
There will however be a collection, with money raised going to Chestnut Tree house children's hospice.
Jeremy Walsworth, director of Howarth of London, told the newspaper that the workshops were about giving people a chance to see how oboes are made and for people to get familiar with woodwind instruments.
"At Howarth, we are fortunate to be on hand to help children produce their first sounds on a musical instrument and we love seeing their reactions when they accomplish this," he said.
He added that the hospice did not necessarily have this "privilege" and was looking forward to helping raise money to help the hospice in all its work.
