Music Man Release New Cutlass Guitar With HSS Pickups
Simplistically speaking this means that the guitar's pickup selection is now comprised of a humbucker, two single coil pickups. With three seperate pickups, you can cycle through a number of tones and sounds that lend themselves to a wide selection of different music styles. With an extra pickup at your disposal, your guitar is opened up to a whole new dimension of tones. Enjoy the classic shimmer of the vintage single coil picks ups or embrace the thundering roar of a custom-wound Ernie Ball Music Man humbucker.
Speaking about their latest update to the Cutlass Series Ernie Ball stated:
'Never ones to rest on our laurels, we've followed up the original triple-single-coil pickup version with a brand new HSS model, to provide player even more versatility. Essentially, the Cutlass HSS allows you to enjoy the best of both worlds: classic, vintage single coil tone from the neck and middle pickups, as well as hotter, higher output from the bridge pickup. Don't settle for one or the other, treat yourself to both!'.
Also featured alongside this pickup instalment are a completely refitted vintage spec, tremolo system, lightweight alder wood body and oversized headstock. This oversized headstock makes the guitar better equipped for maintaining a stable and accurate tuning throughout your playing. Sized at a substantial 4 over 2 measurements, the headstock may appear more cumbersome than previous versions but its sturdy nature more than makes up for any decorative trivialities.
