Muse plot follow-up to The 2nd Law
Speaking to Billboard, drummer Dominic Howard explained that himself, guitarist Matt Bellamy and bassist Chris Wolstenholme had been holding discussions about how to attack a new album but they are only in the initial stages.
He went on to say that the talks were not really focused around the musical side of things, but simply how they were going to approach it, rather than any concrete ideas in terms of songs.
However, he maintained that it will be a while before anything is set in stone.
Howard told the source: "We tend to feel like we need to finish touring one album before we start anything else rather than starting an album on the road. We like to finish a chapter and start afresh, so it'll be a couple of years, probably. But we're definitely thinking about it."
Muse recently announced a headline show at London's O2 Shepherd's Bush Empire on February 18th as part of the annual War Child Brit Awards show prior to the main award ceremony.
