Muse play intimate show at SXSW
Posted on 22 Mar 2010 15:58 to category : Band / Celebrity News

Muse have played a special show at the South by Southwest Festival in Texas.
The band are more used to playing arenas but the trio gave an hour-long performance in the considerably more intimate surroundings of the Stubb's BBQ outdoor amphitheatre.
Frontman and electric guitar player Matt Bellamy told the audience he was enjoying the gig.
"We're feeling good vibes in this town right now," he said.
Bellamy's guitar playing during the show received praise from Rolling Stone magazine, which noted the "flourishes that echoed Hendrix, Black Sabbath and Aerosmith" in his performance.
The show was something of a greatest hits selection from Muse, containing tracks such as Supermassive Black Hole, Plug In Baby and Time is Running Out in the setlist.
Last month, Muse were named ahead of the likes of Arctic Monkeys and Oasis as the Best British Band at the NME Awards, an honour that electric guitar player Bellamy described as "very humbling".
