Muse 'planning to enter the studio later this year'
Muse are set to head to the studio "later this year" in order to record new music.
This is according to the band's frontman and electric guitar player Matt Bellamy, who told NME he is hopeful of getting started on a new album in 2011.
He revealed that some work has already been done, with Bellamy playing new material to Dom Howard, the man behind the drum kit in the band.
Muse also expect to play a number of live dates over the course of the year and Bellamy explained that he hopes a show in Moscow will be on their itinerary at some point.
His remarks came after a successful night for the group at the NME Awards, where they were named as the Best British Band.
Muse are set to head out to South America next month as they embark on a short tour of the continent.
The electric guitar band will kick off a run of gigs in Santiago in Chile on March 25th, moving on to play three dates in Argentinean capital Buenos Aires.
They will then move on to Brazil, for three shows at the Estadio Morumbi in Sao Paulo which have already sold out.
