Muse and Stevie Wonder 'to headline Glastonbury'
Posted on 3 Feb 2010 14:57 to category : Band / Celebrity News

Electric guitar band Muse and piano playing pop legend Stevie Wonder are set to headline Glastonbury festival this year, Michael Eavis has said.
Speaking in London, Mr Eavis said that Muse were certainties to take the Saturday night slot (June 26th 2010) at the festival, while Stevie Wonder is likely to close the event on the Sunday evening, reports Event magazine.
Mr Eavis told members of the audience at the Event Production Show where he made the announcement that no decision had yet been taken about whether large flags would be allowed at this year's event.
He said that he was keen to see the flags banned as they block the audience's view of the stage, but his daughter Emily thinks they add to the atmosphere of the event.
The Friday night headliners have already been confirmed as U2.
When the announcement was made last November, Eavis said: "At last, the biggest band in the world are going to play the best festival in the world."
