Mumford and Sons 'play a multitude of instruments'
Folk stars Mumford and Sons make use of a multitude of musical instruments when they are creating sounds.
"As well as the typical drums, guitar and keyboards, other instruments they play include the mandolin, banjo and accordion," explained a report in the Daily Mirror, which examined the success of the band following their recent win at the Brit awards.
The boys picked up the prize for the Best British Album of the Year at the ceremony and the newspaper explained the band are unusual in that they do not have a permanent drummer among their ranks.
Instead, lead singer Marcus Mumford plays the bass drum with his feet when necessary, as well as operating a tambourine in a similar manner.
The group are set to perform an intimate gig in Camden next week, appearing at the Dingwalls venue on February 22nd.
They will then head to the US in April, playing shows in Nevada, California, Louisiana, Arkansas and Colorado on the jaunt.
Mumford and Sons will also be supporting Arcade Fire when they play Hyde Park in London at the end of June, along with The Vaccines and Beirut.
