Morrissey fans to hear electric guitar on tour?
Morrissey fans will get the chance to see him bring his electric guitar band on the road.
This is because the singer is touring the UK later in the year, stopping off at Perth, Inverness, Dundee, Grimsby, York and Bradford, among others.
All of the gigs will take place in June, with all of the venues being small and intimate.
Individuals who go along to the performances may get to hear some of the material released from his last album in 2009.
Support at the venues will come from three different artists in the shape of Flats, Mona and Brother.
Kirstyn Smith, writing in the List, said Morrissey's decision to go to smaller buildings and towns was indicative of the man.
"His affinity with the outskirts of society has often translated its way into a fascination with the kitchen sink domesticity and eerie normality of small town living," she added.
Ms Smith remarked it is good that he continues to use spaces and goes to places not normally visited by musicians.
The former Smiths front man is known for his melancholic outlook on life, with his songs often dealing with humdrum topics in a grandiose way.
