Moog Announce Limited Subsequent 37 CV Analog Synthesizer
The synth itself will feature four assignable CV outputs and two individually assignable Gate outputs that allow for extensive connectivity across varying modular systems (including Euro racks). The synthesizer will also feature an updated key bed, specifically redesigned to encourage an even greater sense of playability than its predecessor. A high powered headphone amplifier allows for accurate live-monitoring whilst a modified analog signal path provides the player with a considerable dousing the coveted Moog tone.
Speaking of the new release, Moog's chief engineer stated:
" We are really excited to incorporate community feedback into the evolution of an instrument. Adding CV inter-connectivity was the starting point, but we have also increased the headroom in the mixer and significantly extended the range of Multidrive, giving the subsequent 37 CV expanded sonic capability and modular control."
The result of Moog's collaborative efforts sees the Subsequent 37 synthesizer possess twice the headroom of its predecessor, giving it a lot more breathing room and space for manoeuvre. Building on this premise Moog have been able to remodel the gain stage of the ladder filter to invite even further harmonic saturation and analog compression into the mix.
