Mistakes aren't always a bad thing, says Gibson
According to the company, these errors often ended up on the final cut of an album or single accidentally, but ultimately helped to enhance the finished product.
Roxanne by The Police was flagged up as one example, as it contains a random piano chord in the intro that was not meant to be part of the song, but ended up sounding "gloriously dissonant" and "mysterious".
Gibson said this led to his voice sounding like a "ghostly incantation" that enhanced the eerie and moody feel of the song.
Even The Beatles were not immune from such mistakes, with the master version of I'll Get You featuring John Lennon accidentally fluffing a lyric, while the singer audibly utters a profanity on the band's number one hit Hey Jude.
