Michael Jackson's former manager dies
Michael Jackson's manager during one of the star's most popular and successful decades has died at the age of 63.
Frank Dileo, who managed the King of Pop's career during the 80s is believed to have died after experiencing complications following heart surgery.
After moving their separate ways, Dlieo had in fact returned to working with Jackson on the This Is It tour, which came to a tragic end when Jackson died.
John Branca, co-executor of the Jackson estate said: "He was not only one of the great veterans of the music business; he was a beloved friend to me and all who were lucky enough to have had him in their lives. He was one of a kind.
He was a character. He was an original."
Dileo was instrumental in helping Jackson achieve massive, unprecedented success with Thriller, still the best selling album of all time.
Jackson's sixth studio album is believed to have sold over 100 million copies worldwide.
Dileo worked with other notable music stars including Prince, Sheryl Crowe and Richie Sambora, who is the electric guitar player from Bon Jovi.
He is survived by Linda and his two children, Belinda and Dominic.
