The most expensive music video of all time is 'Scream' by the late Michael Jackson.
No expense was spared on the futuristic production of this video, and the electric guitars that Jackson used were of no exception to this rule, with the Gibson Flying V taking centre stage.
First released in 1958, The Gibson Flying V was by no means an instant hit.
Alongside the Gibson Explorer and the Gibson Moderne, the Flying V was part of a new Gibson modernist range but it didn't sell well immediately.
From 1967-1968, Gibson finally found the right design that would successfully propel the guitar into the music industry with famous guitarists such as Jimi Hendrix and Albert King using the model.
The 1968 reissue became the archetypal model that is popular today - the Standard Flying V - a guitar that has not only remained popular through to current times, but that still pushes the boundaries of futuristic guitar design.
The combination of a V-shaped mahogany body, a pointed headstock, a four-ply pickguard and Klusen-style green tuners has made it look just as contemporary as it did in 1968.
