Metallica-signed Gibson Flying V guitar gift for Latin star

A Gibson Flying Vguitar signed by Metallica has been given to Latin musician Juanes.
The Colombian musician was handed the instrument at the Annual Latin Music Awards ceremony, in which he picked up BMI's President Award.
Previous recipients of the gong include Gloria Estefan, Taylor Swift and The Who's Pete Townshend.
Juanes said he was deeply moved to be given the Flying Vguitar by Gibson, especially as Metallica are his musical heroes.
"More than 20 years ago, I purchased my first electric guitar. It was for the largest band in the world – Metallica," he said.
"I feel like a 14-year-old."
The electric guitar player is no stranger to award ceremonies – having already picked up 17 Latin Grammy awards over the course of his career.
While Juanes normally plays a Gibson L-200, he now joins a famous roster of stars who have owned a Flying V - a list which includes the likes of Jimi Hendrix and Zakk Wylde, the guitarist for Ozzy Osborne.
