Metallica are up for Glasto
NME.com is saying that Lars Ulrich, the band's drum player, responded "it's something I would love to do at some point" when questioned about headlining the famed fest in an interview.
The group, behind such songs as St Anger, Cyanide and Harvester of Sorrow have as yet not appeared at the event, said Ulrich.
"We love playing, we love connecting with people, and you want to try to do that in as many situations as possible," he told NME.
However, he suggested that he wasn't sure if the man behind Glastonbury, Michael Eavis, would consider their type of music for the show.
According to NME, Metallica are soon to be in the midst of a European tour where they are set to perform tracks from their collection Metallica, an LP that went to number one in the UK. They recently teamed up with Lou Reed for the LP Lulu.
