Born Under a Bad Sign singer Hawley has also released such LPs as Truelove's Gutter and Coles Corner in the past.
The Sheffielder's freshly shortlisted effort came out earlier this year, and is home to songs such as Down In The Woods, Leave Your Body Behind You and She Brings The Sunlight.
Michael Kiwanuka's shortlisted effort, meanwhile, contains numbers like I Won't Lie and Rest, while Plan B's features The Runaway and I Am The Narrator.
The other Albums of the Year are Plumb's Field Music, Alt-J's An Awesome Wave, The Maccabees' Give To The Wild, Ben Howard's Every Kingdom, Lianne La Havas' Is Your Love Big Enough?, Django Django's self-titled effort, Sam Lee's Ground of Its Own, Jessie Ware's Devotion and another self-titled LP from Roller Trio.
