McCartney Bond song named as number one
It had earned itself the position of 'UK's favourite Bond theme' resulting from a public vote, according to the BBC.
This fact was made public as part of 5 live's James Bond Special edition of Mark Kermode and Simon Mayo's Film Review.
The music instruments filled song is, of course, the work of one-time Beatle Paul McCartney and Wings.
DJ Mayo and film critic Kermode, alongside Richard Wigley - the BBC Philharmonic Orchestra's general manager – picked ten James Bond theme songs for a shortlist prior to the vote.
The pair's weekly radio show – which is also accessible in podcast format – includes features such as a regular run-down of the top ten films in terms of box office takings.
Other James Bond themes include Jack White and Alicia Keys' Another Way To Die and Shirley Bassey's Diamonds Are Forever.
