Maroon 5 shortlisted for American Music Awards
The group, fronted by Adam Levine, are part of the shortlists in the pop and rock album category, the Artist of the Year category and the pop and rock Favourite Band, Duo or Group category.
The successful group are behind songs like Moves Like Jagger and the recent UK number one Payphone. Less recently they enjoyed hits with the likes of Makes Me Wonder and This Love.
One of the categories the band have not had a nomination within, however, is the alt rock Favourite Artist line-up. Gotye, famed for song Somebody That I Used To Know and music instruments playing bands Linkin Park and The Black Keys all get honoured here.
The latter band have brought out songs such as Ten Cent Pistol, Dead and Gone and So He Won't Break.
