Mark Radcliffe gets behind the drum kit again
Posted on 19 Aug 2010 11:12 to category : Band / Celebrity News

Radio 2 DJ Mark Radcliffe has rediscovered his love of playing the drums after participating in a TV show.
Radcliffe took part in Sky Art's First Love programme, in which celebrities revisit their first musical passion.
Speaking to Manchester Evening News, he said that taking part has inspired him to get behind a drum kit more often in future.
"It did reawaken the enthusiasm to play the drums, so I've decided to make it a priority at the back end of this year and next year to start playing again," Radcliff explained.
As part of the TV show, the DJ played the drums as a member of Rufus Wainwright's backing band at a gig in Manchester.
Earlier this week, ITV news presenter Katie Derham told the Independent she had enjoyed relearning to play the violin when she participated in the First Love series.
She has been invited to join a local orchestra as a result of the programme.
