Posted on 15 Jun 2010 16:30 to category : Band / Celebrity News

Marina and The Diamonds, British Sea Power and Ash are to headline the Festival Republic Stage at this summer's Reading and Leeds festivals.
The groups join the likes of Guns N' Roses, Arcade Fire and Blink 182 - who have already been confirmed to headline the main stage at the festival - and will play at both Richfield Avenue in Reading, South England, and Bramham Park in Leeds, North England.
Blood Red Shoes, Adam Green and Egyptian have also been added to the stage's line-up at the sell-out event.
Festival organisers said : "The Festival Republic Stage is the place to see the headliners of tomorrow with the hottest up and coming names in music lined up for the Reading and Leeds Festival."
Coldplay, Muse and Arctic Monkeys all performed on the stage at the beginning of their careers, while in more recent years tithas played host to Florence and the Machine, Hot Chip and La Roux.
More than 150 acts will showcase their talents at the three-day event, which runs from August 27 to 29.
