Marilyn Manson drummer quits backing band
Ginger Fish, the man who has been behind the drum kit in Marilyn Manson's backing band since 1995, has decided to quit the role.
Fish - whose real name is Kenneth Robert Wilson - explained that he feels he is a ready for a new challenge, reports NME.
"I can't stand by to watch opportunities pass me by simply because the knowledge of my availability wasn't clearly expressed by me," said the drummer. "I wish my brothers well and I expect nothing but great things from them."
Fish has played with all but one of Manson's seven studio albums, missing out on appearing on his debut record Portrait of an American Family, which was released back in 1994.
The departure of the drummer means only Twiggy Ramirez remains as a member of Manson's band who appeared on his Antichrist Superstar, Mechanical Animals and Holy Wood records.
At the end of last year, Manson dropped a hint that his fans could expect to see him appearing live in the near future.
On his official website, it was posted that tour dates will be announced soon, although there was no further information on when or where these performances will be.
