Making electric guitars out of fish boxes
Luthier Kim White used the same deft skills needed when making or repairing traditional stringed instruments when producing the fish-inspired electric guitar, reported the Vancouver Sun.
This isn't his only innovative creation as the talented inventor has also produced electric guitars out of old tin chocolate boxes and even produced ukuleles from old cigar boxes.
Mr White's ability to make decent-sounding music seems to have no bounds and it has generated a lot of excitement and interest.
The news provider reported that his collection of mashed-together musical instruments will go on show at Octopus Studios in Vancouver under the catchy title of Hobo Nations Guitar.
CF Martin and Co recently revealed that it is looking at producing "recycled" acoustic guitars.
The instrument manufacturer has already been experimenting with using reclaimed wood from dismantled Canadian bridges in a bid to be a greener company.Posted on 2 Dec 2011 14:45 to category : Instruments News
