Mackie HD1521 hailed in recent review
Posted on 6 Oct 2009 14:19 to category : Music News

Mackie have recently released a new high-definition active PA speaker, the HD1521.
Performing Musician Magazine have been reviewing a pair of these speakers this month.
An obvious advantage of powered PA speakers is that every component within the speakers can be matched optimizing performance.
Even with this in mind, Performing Musician noted that Mackie have gone one step further with the HD1521.
Some sophisticated signal processing has been employed to give ultimate clarity of sound.
Performing Musician noted the solid protection given to the speakers within the all-wooden enclosure, as well as the "really good carrying handles" for the owners ease.
The HD1521 has a back control panel that has been kept incredibly simple.
An input trim control; a three band EQ (plus an adjustable mid control), and an on/off button keep these speakers nice and easy to use for any musician.
When listening to a pair of the speakers at a low volume, the reviewer commented that the sound produced was like "listening on a huge pair of headphones".
Even when turned up, the reviewer was once again impressed with the clarity and detail that they produced.
The speakers are given yet more versatility through their ability to be used horizontally or vertically and have more than enough power for both mid-sized indoor venues and outdoor use.
