MXR and Way Huge Lift The Lid On A Variety Of New FX Pedals
Most of the new releases take existing favourites like the Dyna Comp, Echoplex and Super Badass and take them to the next level with a few added features. The complete new lineup revealed by MXR and Way Huge includes: the MXR Script Dyna Comp, MXR Double-Double Overdrive, MXR Super Badass Variac, MXR Echoplex Delay, and the Way Huge Camel Toe.
The Script Dyna Comp features a rare CA3080 'metal can' integrated circuit, which provides quieter operation, enhanced dynamics and more transparency. The Script Dyna Comp also boasts a bypass LED.
The Double-Double Overdrive is two classic overdrives housed in one compact stompbox chassis allowing the user to go from fiery midrange low gain tones to rip-roaring high gain sounds at the flick of a switch.
The Super Badass Variac Fuzz meanwhile is a silicon fuzz with a sag dial where you can bring a variety of new and interesting fuzz effects including a dying battery sound - no need to manage a collection of half-dead batteries.
The vintage Echoplex EP-3 tape echo has also been faithfully recreated. The original delay has been used by the likes of Van Halen and David Gilmour - the MXR EP103version delivers 40-750ms of delay via Hi-fi analog and digital audio paths.
Finally, the Camel Toe Triple Overdrive MKII is the latest offering from Way Huge. This pedal merges the sound of the Green Rhino Overdrive and the Red Llama Overdrive into a single stompbox. Here a switch can be used to toggle between the two overdrive sounds or alternatively they can be run in unison. The Red Llama side of the pedal also has a new hi-cut control to really focus your guitar sound.
