Lostprophets guitarist names musical influences
The Lostprophets' electric guitar player has listed some of his main musical influences.
Mike Lewis was asked by Rock Sins to write a list of the ten most influential acts in his life and named Metallica in first place.
Other guitar-based rock bands also figured prominently in the list, with The Clash and The Jam coming second and third respectively.
Lewis named Megadeth and Sick of it All as well, along with Oasis and Joy Division.
The Welsh rocker rounded out his top ten with The Prodigy, Slayer and Dire Straits.
Fans of the Lostprophets might be able to detect signs of these influences on the band's upcoming album The Betrayed, which arrives in record shops later this month.
The rock group, who have been active in the music business for over a decade, are best known for hits including Last Summer, Make a Move, Goodbye Tonight and Burn Burn.Posted on 13 Jan 2010 20:00 to category : Band / Celebrity News
