'Lost' My Chemical Romance recordings could resurface
The songs My Chemical Romance scrapped ahead of releasing Danger Days: The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys could yet see the light of day, electric guitar player Frank Iero has said.
Speaking to Rock AAA, the star revealed he had the idea of saving the sessions up to be put out as the final My Chemical Romance album.
The band had reportedly recorded 28 tracks before making the decision to start from scratch once again.
Iero said he believes the songs are of a high standard, despite being replaced by the ones which ended up making it on to Danger Days.
"Just last week I started playing on one of the computers backstage and some of the tracks which we had on the last attempt at the record were on it. We were humming them back and forth and thinking they were really good," the electric guitar player explained.
My Chemical Romance are currently on tour in Europe, with dates lined up in France, Spain, Italy, Switzerland and Germany in the next few weeks.
The band have also been booked to play at T in the Park this summer.
