The London Drum Show, an annual event held in the city's capital, is to be moved to the start of September this year.
It will take place at the London Olympia on September 4th and 5th 2010 a date that will avoid a clash with the newly-announced London Music Show that is set to be held this October.
Hugo Montgomery-Swan, the publisher of Drummer magazine, which is behind the London Drum Show, told MI Pro that the decision to move it was the right one.
"The dates of the London Music Show clashed with our own to a degree that the two shows would clearly conflict with each other and in turn place great strain on the industry," he said.
Mr Montgomery-Swan added that he hoped the latter show would be a success as it was important for the UK to have a good general music event.
Earlier this week, Mapex Drums announced it is hosting its own free drum kit workshop at the Northern School of Contemporary Music in Darlington in February.
