Linkin Park booked for Download Festival 2011
Linkin Park will be taking their electric guitars along to Download Festival 2011 after being confirmed as the second headline act for the event. System of A Down were recently named as the first band on the bill for Download, which is taking place between June 10th and 12th next year.
Chester Bennington, the frontman of Linkin Park, said the group are feeling very excited to play at the bash again in 2011. He described it as one of the best festivals in the world, partly thanks to the great crowds it attracts.
The group are currently on tour in Australia and are set to begin a run of shows in the US from January 20th. Linkin Park will play gigs in cities including Los Angeles, Dallas and New York.
Since getting together in 1996, the electric guitar band have managed to sell more than 50 million records across the world, winning two Grammys in the process.
