Line 6 Pod X3 and Pod X3 Pro praised

Line 6 have now upgraded the Pod range from the XT models to the new X3 series.
The Pod family is well-known for its versatility - with even more amp models available in the new range, Line 6 has continued this trend once more.
Furthermore, Music Radar noted how ‘the new X3 version of the POD is designed for both guitar and bass players so bassists no longer have to buy a specialised POD’.
28 bass amps and 22 bass cabs are available on the new models.
As for vocals, there are 6 vocal pre-amps to choose from, including models of Neve, API and Avalon.
Another huge improvement comes through the potential to combine two signal paths with the Pod X3, creating new sound blends.
This means that each signal path (consisting of possible Gate, Wah, Stomp, Amp & Cab, Compression, EQ, Volume, Modulation, Delay and Reverb, can run simultaneously, giving further options to the user whether on stage or recording at home.
Pod X3 Pro owners also benefit from a free download of Line 6 POD farm software and can use this as a plug-in to add effects after recording.
To summarise, on top of general improvements (such as an upgrade from USB 1.0 to USB 2.0 connections), the Pod X3 offers a massive selection of amp models, great connectivity, and further scope for creativity with the ability to combine two signal paths.
