Limp Bizkit create Daft Punk
Posted on 12 Feb 2010 07:30 to category : Music News

Limp Bizkit new album is inspired by Daft Punk.
Guitarist Wes Borland has revealed the US rock band's new LP 'Gold Cobra' - their fourth studio album - has a "fun party kinda vibe" with similar tones to the electro-dance act.
Wes said: "It's not like we all of a sudden grew up and started making smarter music. It's definitely a fun party kinda vibe, it's a little like the old stuff but with a Daft Punk vibe thrown in on some of it. There's big huge riffs and hopefully catchy lyrics - it's still about halfway done so we're waiting to see how the rest of it goes."
However, the rocker is not convinced the band will win over any new fans with the new slant on theoir sound.
He added: "I think that everyone who hated Limp Bizkit before will continue to hate Limp Bizkit."
Meanwhile, frontman Fred Durst is positive the new musical offering will be well-received.
He has said: "I'm having a great feeling about going in and doing the new Limp Bizkit CD, more than I have about any of our albums before.
"It's not going to be a watered-down version of Limp Bizkit, it's going to be a more explosive, more addictive, more driven version of Limp Bizkit."
Limp Bizkit - also consisting of Sam Rivers, DJ Lethal and John Otto - plan to release 'Gold Cobra' over the next few months.
