Lily Allen to turn her hand to country music
Posted on 27 Jul 2011 17:09 to category : Band / Celebrity News

Lily Allen may previously have 'retired' from pop but it seems she is not ready to leave the music business behind her fully.
The songstress is rumoured to be planning a country music offering as she misses performing and creating music.
Speaking to the BBC's Test Match special, she said: "Maybe I'll be Lily Rose Cooper, the country artist. When I do go to gigs I get a slight pang of envy and think, 'Oh I do miss being up on that stage.' But I have other priorities at the moment."
If Lily does make the transition from pop princess to country artist it is unlikely that an album will surface for a while.
The newlywed is expecting her first child with husband Sam Cooper and has previously spoken of her reluctance to leave her family to go on tour for months at a time.
Lily recently spoke out to deny that her London-based fashion venture Lucy in Disguise, was struggling and would be forced to close down.
Allen and her sister and co-owner Sarah Owen said that the shop had not closed, but simply moved to a temporary shop before moving to permanent new premises next month.
