Libertines documentary set for London premiere
A documentary about indie band The Libertines is to receive its first public showing at the East End Film Festival (EEFF) in London.
Electric guitar player Carl Barat revealed the film has been chosen for the event via his Facebook page, reports NME.
The documentary, which has been directed by NME photographer Roger Sargent, will be screened on April 27th at the EEFF, which is scheduled to run until May 2nd this year.
Various venues in London will be used over the course of the festival period.
The aim of the EEFF is to promote homegrown films and hot new talent in Britain, as well as raising the profile of the local area.
Barat was involved with last year's efforts, as a film he narrated - No Place/Good Place: The Rime of the Modern Mariner - was shown at the event.
The electric guitar player is set to release new solo single Death Fires Burn at Night on April 4th, the same day as he will perform a show at the Koko venue in Camden.
He is to hold a number of gigs in Europe the same month, visiting cities such as Munich and Paris.
