Liam 'seeks new electric guitar player' for Oasis
According to the News of the World, frontman Liam Gallagher is preparing to carry out auditions to find a full-time replacement for his estranged brother.
Noel chose to walk out from the Manchester band last month, citing personal differences with Liam as his main reason for leaving.
While many believe the departure of the band's main songwriter could mean the end of Oasis, rumours are circulating that the remaining members will carry on.
The News of the World quoted an unnamed source as saying that Liam "reckons he can find someone better than Noel".
"He's trying out a lot of guitarists," the insider commented.
However, former Stone Roses frontman Ian Brown has encouraged both Liam and Noel to become solo artists.
The musician, who has been frequently cited as a formative influence to Oasis, told the Press Association that he can "heartily recommend" going solo.Posted on 14 Sep 2009 11:44 to category : Band / Celebrity News
