Liam Gallagher thinks Noel is missing him

Liam Gallagher says Noel Gallagher's solo material can never be like Oasis because it is missing himself.

Liam Gallagher believes his brother Noel can't be as successful without him.

The Beady Eye frontman insists people shouldn't criticise his band for not being like former group Oasis as they're aiming for a different sound - and warned his sibling and ex-bandmate not to expect people to regard his solo material in the same light as the group.

Liam said: "The people that go, 'Oh, Beady Eye is not Oasis,' well, I'll tell you what - you wait until you hear Noel's music because that ain't gonna be Oasis either. It might remind you of it but there'll be something missing. And what'll be missing is fking me."

Liam further insisted he will never reform Oasis because of the rift between himself and Noel.

Asked if they would get back together, he told Shortlist magazine: "What would be the point? We don't get on with each other. Noel's going down his path and I'm going down mine."

Though Beady Eye have only released one album, 'Different Gear, Still Speeding', Liam is confident they can surpass the achievements of Oasis because the 'Live Forever' band "lacked adventure".

He said: "I had a great time singing Oasis songs, without a doubt. But I think Oasis is beatable, man. There were certain things Oasis lacked. A bit more adventure. I'm not saying like Radiohead - a lot of that st is barking up the wrong tree.

"With Oasis we did experiment but Noel was holding back the reins a bit.

"I could do you a well-crafted tune tomorrow, but if it just goes over your head, who cares? I don't want to make lift music. Noel would write a song, it'd cover all the bases but it lacks that killer punch. And that's what we've got with me."
