Liam Gallagher plans singles bonanza
Posted on 30 Mar 2010 07:00 to category : Band / Celebrity News

Liam Gallagher wants to release three singles ahead of his next album, which he wants to release next summer.
The former Oasis frontman - who has formed a new, currently unnamed, group from the members of the band excluding his brother Noel - said he will be releasing nine tracks before his new band's debut album comes out, across three singles.
He said: "By next June we'll be recording our album then, or will have finished recording it. So, I'd like to have a single out this October, followed by two fantastic B-sides and then have Christmas off, put another single out at the end of January, maybe another one in March and then get the album out in June of next year.
"I'm certainly not putting the album out first, not in this day and age. It'll be like what we used to do in the Oasis days. No remixes, none of that b*****s, brand new fing songs - Musicians man, we write songs, we don't fing mix 'em up."
The outspoken singer, 37, explained he wanted to release so many tracks in order to revive the single format.
He added to website live4ever.uk.com: "You gotta have B-sides man. If you can write one record, you can write another two. Do you know what I mean?
"it's old school. That's the way I wanna do it. I want people to buy our singles. I don't wanna change the way this music is going."
