The departure of electric guitar player Noel Gallagher may have spelled the end of Oasis, but it seems they will not be easily forgotten.
Leona Lewis, the winner of The X Factor in 2007, has just recorded a cover of the band's hit single Stop Crying Your Heart Out.
The track is set to be released on Lewis' next album Echo, which comes out next month.
According to NME, rumours are already circulating that the new version Stop Crying Your Heart Out, which Oasis took to number two in 2002, could be issued as a single.
Meanwhile, Lewis has revealed she thinks she would still have become a famous singer without appearing on The X Factor.
Speaking to the Guardian, she commented: "I still like to believe that being dedicated and working hard, I would have done it."
Lewis is planning to return to The X Factor stage next month to promote her upcoming album, which is released on November 16th.
