Lemmy performs with electric guitar legend Slash at Download

A number of electric guitar players wowed the crowds at Download over the weekend.

Legendary electric guitar player Slash treated fans to a special performance with Motorhead frontman Lemmy at Download Festival yesterday (June 13th 2010).

The former Guns N' Roses electric guitar player was joined by bass player Lemmy - real name Ian Kilmister - for a version of Doctor Alibi, reports NME.

Introducing Kilmister as a "really good friend of mine", Slash showed off his electric guitar playing skills while Lemmy played his trademark bass guitar.

Slash - real name Saul Hudson - also treated fans to performances of Guns N' Roses tunes such as Sweet Child O' Mine and Paradise City.

Songs made famous by his other band Velvet Revolver were also in the set list.

During the set, vocalist Myles Kennedy told the crowd Slash was the world's greatest-ever electric guitar player.

"I paid him to say that," Slash joked.

Numerous legendary electric guitar players took to the stage at

Download, which was held at Donington Park in Leicestershire.

Rage Against The Machine's Tom Morello, AC/DC axeman Angus Young and Aerosmith man Joe Perry all wowed the crowds at the event.
