La Roux to wait for second album
Posted on 29 Nov 2009 12:28 to category : Band / Celebrity News

Fans of synth duo La Roux may have to wait until late in 2010 to hear their second album.
The group, who use a Yamaha electronic drum kit, enjoyed significant success during 2009, with their self-titled debut album reaching number two and Bulletproof topping the singles chart.
That success has landed them with a busy workload of touring and festivals, and singer Elly Jackson told BBC 6 Music they will struggle to find time to record new tracks.
She revealed that the duo are planning to travel to France to spend two weeks writing songs for the next album, but admitted she does not know when they will find time to go into the recording studio.
"Unless we manage to write a record in two weeks I don't think there will be anything in terms of a second record for a while," said Jackson.
Yamaha drum kits are a favourite of musicians working with pop acts, with drummers playing with Kylie, Sugarbabes, Calvin Harris and Little Boots all choosing the manufacturer's equipment.
