LCD Soundsystem to release final gig on DVD
Fans of electro group LCD Soundsystem may be pleased to note that the band's final ever performance is to be released on DVD.
The New York-based band - who used an eclectic mixture of instruments such as electric guitars and keyboards during their time together - played a farewell gig at Madison Square Garden earlier this month (April 2nd) after revealing that they would be parting ways back in February.
Front man James Murphy and co went out with a bang by playing a mammoth three-and-a-half hour show at the world-renowned venue, including songs spanning their entire ten-year career such as Tribulations, Dance Yrself Clean and Someone Great.
The show closed with an emotional rendition of New York I Love You, But You're Bringing Me Down and also featured a special version of crowd favourite North American Scum - which featured guest appearances from members of Arcade Fire - Billboard.com reported.
And, in response to a fan query on the band's official Facebook page about whether they will put the concert out on DVD, Murphy stated: "We will! We filmed it! I need to mix the music and then they need to edit between all the cameras!"
