Kylie Minogue plans rare residency
Posted on 6 Jul 2010 10:00 to category : Music News

Kylie Minogue is planning a series of gigs where she will play unknown and rare songs.
The pop star wants a short-term residency at a small venue where she will perform tracks that didn't make it onto her eleventh studio album 'Aphrodite', which was launched in clubbing paradise Ibiza last night (05.07.10).
She said: "Something I've started to talk about a lot is the anti-concert - a two-week run in London. It would be somewhere like Ronnie Scott's in Soho. I'd do all the songs that didn't even make it on the album.
"Joni Mitchell had an album called 'Hits and Misses' - I relate to that."
The 'All the Lovers' singer is also adamant 'Aphrodite' will not be her last album, despite rumours it could be.
But Kylie isn't going to limit herself to music and hopes to return to her acting roots at some point in the future.
The 42-year-old star - who shot to fame in long-running Australian soap opera 'Neighbours' - said: "I don't think it will be my last album, who knows? I want to find a nice balance in life. Perhaps family one day.
"Professionally, I want to go behind the camera. I want to do more acting - that's how I started. Whether it's singing or acting, bring it on."
