Korg Volca FM Further Details Released - Pre Order Now!
The Korg Volca FM is available for pre-order now for £129.00, and is expected to arrive at Gear4music in May 2016.
The surprised announcement of the Korg Volca FM at NAMM 2016 caused a stir earlier this year, and now we can confirm all remaining details.
The three-voice polyphonic digital synthesizer has a classic FM sound engine on board, and not only reproduces genuine FM sounds, but allows you to import FM programs from renowned synths such as the Yamaha DX7.
32 algorithms and 6 operators make this a powerful FM synth, with a huge depth of sound - check out the video below to hear it in action.
With a focus on usability and playability, the clear interface lets you create wild FM sounds, even if you have no understanding of FM synthesis!
Modulator and Carrier knobs affect multiple parameters simultaneously, making sound editing very straightforward, and for those who want to get knee deep in FM parameters, deep dive functionality is available.
The on board 16-step sequencer, found across the Volca range, lets you make patterns in seconds, and can record parameter automation to the steps of the sequencer making your patterns come alive.
Warp Active Step mode will skew your pattern to create irregular rhythms by taking patterns less than 16 steps and stretching them to take up the same amount of time as 16 steps.
Like all Volca's, the FM is compact, has a built-in speaker and can run on batteries - a truly portable FM workstation
We expect the Korg Volca FM to land at Gear4music during May - if you pre-order your Volca FM at Gear4music now, we won't charge your card until we actually ship the Volca FM to you.
