Korg Kaoss Pad Quad 'one of the stand-out launches at NAMM'
The new Korg Kaoss Pad Quad dynamic effects processor was one of the stars of the show when it was unveiled at the NAMM conference last week.
According to MI-Pro, the piece of musical technology was "one of the stand-out launches" at the industry event, where Korg joined other manufacturers in revealing a number of new product ranges.
The Korg Kaoss Pad Quad allows users to create their own set of effects, controlling up to four at the same time with just one finger.
Its features include an intuitive X-Y touchpad that allows owners of the processor to control a number of effects in real time, as well as a freeze button that makes hand-free use possible.
A total of 1,295 effects combinations are available to users, while colourful LED touchpad illuminations light up in sync with the performance.
New looper effects are also available to ensure the Korg Kaoss Pad Quad remains locked in to the beat.
According to the musical equipment manufacturer, the processor has several advantages over rival units.
"The expressive performance potential that arises from the Kaoss Pad Quad leaves other effect units in the dust," said Korg.
