Korg ARP Odyssey Coming Back
The original ARP Odyssey was released in 1972 by ARP Instruments and became a staple for many recording and performing musicians.
The ARP Odyssey is a monophonic/duophonic synth offering 2 VCOs, white/pink noise, LFO, ADSR EG, sample and hold and a 2-pole or 4-pole low-pass filter (depending on the model).
Korg have announced that ARP co-founder David Friend will be joining them as chief advisor on the new ARP Odyssey which seems promising in terms of the 'faithful recreation' Korg have promised.
Korg already have a prototype built of the new synthesizer so it shouldn't be too long before more information is released.
After the sucess of Korg's MS-20 mini, MS-20 Kit, the monotrons and monotribe, musicians are sure to be excited about this latest announcement.
