Klaxons' music doubt
Posted on 21 Jul 2010 16:30 to category : Band / Celebrity News

Klaxons "never thought" they would make music again.
The 'Golden Skans' group scrapped the follow-up to their critically-acclaimed 2007 debut LP 'Myths of the Near Future' last year and admit they worried they would be one-album wonders.
Singer-and-keyboardist James Righton told NME magazine: "For a while we were nowhere near the headspace to make a record. The more we discussed what we wanted to become, the more tangled we got. It felt so forced. The opposite of what we were about.
"If I'm honest there was a brief point where I thought, 'Was it all just a moment in time that we can't recreate? Will we ever be able to do it again?' "
The group admit they found it particularly difficult as their first album had been made with such ease.
James added: "We just spend too much time thinking and talking. The least conductive thing for creativity is analysis.
"The first album came together in a blur of inspiration and fun.
"We barely understood our own relationships or our roles within the band, so we basically had to start from scratch this time. Our heads were in different places."
