Kings of Leon's fun LP
Kings of Leon have recorded a "fun" new album.
The 'Use Somebody' hitmakers admit they even surprised themselves when they worked on their forthcoming LP - which they believe is more like their earlier material than recent records - because they expected it to be "darker".
However, drummer Nathan Followill said: "I'll be damned if we didn't go in there and make a fun record! It's got songs that are beach-y and songs that are a little more like our 'Youth and Young Manhood' days.
"We're super excited. It will be interesting to see how well received it is."
The band - who have been working on their new album since the beginning of April - are set to play at the Bonaroo music festival in Tennessee next month, and admit they are having to restrict how much of their new material they play.
Nathan said: "The record is coming along great. It will be tough to not play the whole new album at Bonnaroo. We're going to try to be very selective of what we play, but there will definitely be some new tunes."Posted on 27 May 2010 07:00 to category : Music News
