Kings of Leon star receives repaired electric guitar
Posted on 15 Sep 2009 18:00 to category : Instruments News

The rocker smashed his instrument on stage at the T in the Park festival in Scotland earlier this year.
Followill apparently damaged his electric guitar because he was frustrated over ongoing sound problems during the gig.
He therefore opted to retrieve the bits and pieces of the instrument after the event and send it to Gibson to be repaired.
Phil Crabtree, the man in charge of the restoration, commented: "The neck was severed from the body.
"There were quite a few loose pieces as well, some dime-sized or smaller."
Mr Crabtree noted that electric guitars with broken necks or headstocks are not uncommon, although he said this type of damage is usually accidental.
However, Followill's guitar was subjected to a "pretty violent impact", thereby making the repair work a more "challenging" job than a typical restoration.
Kings of Leon are best known for their various hits including number one single Sex on Fire, Use Somebody and Revelry.
